This particular piece is a cloak called Cabal’s Ruin from Campaign 1 of Critical Role worn by the Character Percy DeRolo, and was a commission for a returning customer—this is actually the second item I’ve created for him.
In the story, the cloak is supposed to crackle with lightning energy - so after some research I decided that I would layer an iridescent, two-tone blue and purple fabric with navy tulle embroidered with constellations to give the feel of a stormy night sky. For the outer layer, I went with a soft faux suede in a deep, stormy blue, and finished the edges with a gold braid trim.
I had the opportunity to photograph Charlie wearing the cloak at London MCM in October 2024 and couldn't be happier with how this piece shimmers in photos!
