Aleera

This is the second version of this character that I have made, based on Aleera, the bride of Dracula, from the film Van Helsing. After consulting with the customer, we opted to go for a pleated ombre mesh fabric with a white lining, and I chose a detailed gold trim with crystal embellishment, which I cut the edges off to get the right shape and width for the hips and underbust. This costume ended up having a lot of fiddly details and hand stitching, but I'm extremely pleased with the dramatic final piece!
