The third piece commissioned by repeat customer Charlie L, this is yet another Critical Role inspired cosplay, which seems to have become my most commonly requested franchise; this particular piece is based on Halandil Fang from Campaign 4.
Starting with a lot of sampling to find the perfect rusty orange fabric, I went with a faux silk dupion in terracotta which handled beautifully and worked perfectly with the faux lather on the yoke and suedette on the sleeve caps. The design on the front was embroidered by hand using a metallic gold threat, and I ended up customising the gold lace edging by trimming down one side of it to keep a clean flat edge.
I would love to make a piece like this again, it was a beautifully fun project and a wonderful chance to work with Charlie again!
