Born out of a dare, this project was a lesson in never challenging actress Marta Svetek! When dared to cosplay the character Hildibrand Manderville from Final Fantasy, Marta set out to create a perfectly tailored version of this impeccably dress gentleman.
This costume was a real labour of love, and a challenging exploration of precise tailoring, and reminded me that 'details' doesn't always mean beading, lace or embroidery. Sometimes it is the perfect placement of a seam or button that really sets off a piece, and I am so glad to have been able to work with Marta on this fantastic piece.
Marta was a genuine joy to work with, and styled the wig, facial hair and makeup for the shoot with the photography team @salli_gainsford @mikebaker_mdb @studiomastersuk
