Howl Pendragon

Based on the title character from the well loved anime Howl's Moving Castle, this project was a joy; even in the moments of regretting using layers of satin and tulle to patchwork each individual segment of the coat which took hours of sewing. When recreating such an iconic piece of costume, it can be easy to be intimidated by putting your own spin on the style. But the wonderful customer was easy to work with and took suggestions on fabrics and trims that would work with her style, while still keeping true to the spirit of the character. This is my second time creating a costume inspired by this coat, and I love seeing they way two customers can interpret the character in their own way resulting in a different look each time.
"It was my first time commissioning Ceri and they were absolutely wonderful! They were very patient with answering all my questions and organised a mood board with all the materials that may have suited the mood/theme I was looking for. I would really recommend them to commission any dream cosplays you may have! Such a delight to work with :)"
